Add all ingredients to the inner pot of your rice cooker, except toasted almonds
- 1 cup Mahatma® or Carolina® White Rice
- 2 tblsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped or 1 tblsp dried onion flakes
- zest of 1 orange
- juice of 2 oranges plus enough chicken broth to make 1 3/4 cups liquid
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup slivered toasted almonds

Slow Cooker Carnitas

Mix together salt, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, coriander, and cinnamon in a bowl
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon crumbled dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 (4 pound) boneless pork shoulder roast
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups chicken broth

measure out butter, milk and vanilla into a sauce pan,,, heat on low and add in powdered sugar a little at a time...
- 1/3 cup (113g) butter
- 1 TO 1 1 /2 teaspoons vanilla extract to taste
- 6 -9 tablespoons (90-135ml) evaporated milk (can substitute regular milk or water for milder flavor)
- 2 cups (375g) powdered sugar
Easy-to-Make Spanish Rice
