  • Stir in 4 eggs

  • Roll steak in flour and brown in shortening. Add:
  • 1 1/2 pounds round steak, cubed
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • Simmer 2 hours, then add:
  • 1 cup onions
  • 1 cup cut potatoes
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1/2 cup carrots
