SLOW COOKER LASAGNA

- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 3 cans (15 ounces each) Italian-style tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 ounces)
- 1 container (15 ounces) part-skim ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 15 uncooked lasagna noodles
CHOCOLATE CHIP MERINGUES

A forgotten meringues because you turn off the oven and leave them there to cool overnight
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup finely chopped semisweet chocolate (6 oz.) or miniature semisweet chocolate chips

- TOPPING:
- 3-3/4 cup flour
- 1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups rhubarb (1/2 inch pieces)
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1-1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 TBSP butter melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon

HEAT oven to 350°F. BEAT first 7 ingredients with mixer until well blended

- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
- 1 cup packaged sweetened coconut
- 1 cup pecans , chopped coarsely
- 1 cup gum drops , cut into pieces
GRANDMA JEAN’S FRENCH TOAST

Wonderful recipe! I dip Byerly's round cinnamon bread and cook
- Beat together with a fork until blended:
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- (I use both and about 1 teaspoon each)
- Handful of brown sugar (my addition to the recipe)
