Russian Easter Bread is the most delicious and traditional recipe you can add to your Easter feast
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar, plus a pinch, divided
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, 3/4 cup
- pinch of saffron threads, crumbled
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water, about a temperature of 105 to 115°F
- 6 cups all-purpose flour plus additional for dusting
- 4 large eggs
Chocolate Root Beer Pound Cake

- 1 cup Dutch Process Cocoa Powder

- 1 stick Unsalted Butter (softened)

Lime in the Coconut Flour Cookies

Pre-heat oven at 375 degrees F
- 1 cup coconut flour
- 3/4 cup rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup whole sugar
- 2/3 cup softened butter or palm shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tablespoon grated lemon peel

- 1 c almonds - measured out and then ground (I used my spice grinder, but a blender would work)

- 3 ounces unbleached all-purpose flour (about 2/3 cup)
- 1.5 ounces white whole-wheat flour (about 1/3 cup)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- Cooking spray
- Filling:
- 6 ounces fresh strawberries or fresh raspberries
- 1.5 ounces unbleached all-purpose flour (about 1/3 cup)
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
