Yellow Cake

Heat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 inch pan
- Reduce milk to 1/2 cup and add:
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted margarine -- softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs -- at room temperature
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- LEMON CAKE VARIATION
- Increase sugar to 1 1/2 cups and add
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon peel
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice -- (when adding the eggs)
- ORANGE CAKE VARIATION
- 2 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated orange peel
- 1/4 cup orange juice -- (when adding eggs)
Key Lime Meringue

Preheat oven to 275. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan or two 8 inch pie plates
- Meringue Shell
- 6 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Key Lime Filling
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tablespoons grated lime peel
- 1 1/2 cups non dairy whipped topping
Crunchy Brownies

In a large bowl, cream margarine, sugar, cocoa and vanilla very well
- 8 ounces margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 7 ounce jar marshmallow cream
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 3 cups rice Krispies®
Five Flavor Pound Cake

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs -- well beaten
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
- 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
- 1/4 teaspoon rum, orange, or almond flavoring
- GLAZE
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon each flavoring used in the cake
Marbled Almond Frosting

Allow egg whites to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes
- Marbled Almond Frosting
- 4 egg whites
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 Tablespoons amaretto
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1 to 2 teaspoons amaretto
- Marbled almond frosting
Caramel Chocolate Ladyfinger Torte

Melt chocolate chips. Line a 9" springform pan with ladyfingers around the pan and also on the bottom
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chps
- 1 1/2 packages ladyfinger cookie
- 1 13 ounce jar Nutella
- 20 caramels
- 2 1/3 cups whipping cream -- divided
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup powered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 Tablespoons creme de cacao
Caramelized Baked Chicken

Preheat oven to 375. Place chicken in 9x13" baking dish
- 3 pounds chicken pieces
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons ketchup
- 1 cup honey
- 1 clove garlic -- minced
- Salt and pepper
Crockpot Pineapple Chicken

Add all ingredients to crock pot and cook on low for 7-9 hours
- 6 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 dash pepper
- paprika
- 20 ounces pineapple chunks in juice
- 2 Tablespoons dijon mustard
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic -- minced
Vegetable Medley

Thaw vegetables. Mix the remainder of the ingredients and mix with vegetables
- 1 package frozen broccoli -- cauliflower and carrots
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion -- sauteed
- 3 Tablespoons white horseradish
- Salt and pepper

- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup oil
- BUTTERSCOTCH TOPPING
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 to 1 1/2 T. milk
