Nana's Golden Chiffon Cake

For the cake: Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- For the cake:
- 2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 5 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup (8) egg whites
- 2 cups coconut flakes
- For the frosting:
- 2 unbeaten egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/3 cup cold water
- dash of salt
- 4-5 drops yellow food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Raisin Nut Brownies

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom of 13×9-in
- 1 pkg. (1 lb. 3-1/2 oz.) brownie mix
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 c. California raisins
- 1 c. deluxe mixed nuts, coarsely chopped
