Yummy combination of Toffee bits and Snickerdoodles

  • COOKIES:
  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening (Crisco)
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar (sift with flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda (sift with flour)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt (sift with flour)
  • 3/4 to 1 cup of Toffee bits, (I used homemade toffee)
  • SUGAR COATING:
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
