Broccoli Salad

Mix 1 c. mayonnaise, 1/3 c
- 1 bunch broccoli, cut up
- 1 med. red onion, cut up
- 8-10 slices bacon, cut-up, fry and drain
- sunflower seeds
- 1 c. raisins or grapes
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Glaze walnuts: Place 1 tablespoon honey in a small skillet
- Salad:
- 8 c. mixed salad greens
- 2 fresh pears
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- Dressing:
- 1/3 c. canola oil
- 3 tbsp. raspberry vinegar
- 1 tbsp. chopped shallots
- 3/4 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- Garnish:
- 4 oz. (about 1 c.) crumbled blue cheese
- 3/4 c. walnuts, glazed with
- 1 tbsp. honey
Fudge Strip Cookie Salad

Fold in 1 8 oz. cool whip
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 (3 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 can crushed pineapple (undrained)
- 1 can mandarin oranges (drained)
- 1 8 oz. cool whip
- 12 fudge strip cookies
Mary Lee's German Chocolate Cake

Melt chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water
- Coconut pecan Frosting:
- 1 pkg. German sweet, chocolate
- 2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 can (3 1/2 oz.) flake coconut
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 egg yolks (unbeaten)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 4 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
- 1 c. evaporated milk or half and half milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Mom's Chili

Brown hamburger, sausage, onion, and peppers together until cooked
- 2 lbs hamburger
- 1 lb Graziano's sausage
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 jars grandpa's canned tomatoes undrained or 2 (24oz) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 pkg Williams seasoning mix
- 1 large can chili beans
- 1 small can tomato paste
- Chili powder and cumin to taste
Graduation Mints

Mix cream cheese and peppermint flavoring and food coloring with mixer
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 8 drops oil of peppermint
- food coloring of your choice
- 2 lbs. powdered sugar
Chicken Noodle Soup

For the stock: add all ingredients to a soup pot
- Stock:
- 1 (2 1/2 to 3-lb.) fryer chicken, cut up
- 3 1/2 qt. water
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. lemon-pepper seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 bay leaves
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Soup:
- 2 c. sliced carrots
- 2 c. sliced celery, with leafy green tops
- 2 1/2 c. uncooked egg noodles
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 3 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 1/3 c. cooking sherry
- 2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 c. grated Parmesan, optional
- 3/4 c. heavy cream, optional
- Seasoning salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- crusty French bread, for serving

Rime 1 c. beans, then rack overnight in water to cover
- rime 1 c. beans
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped carrot
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley (opt.)
- 1 minced clove garlic
- 1 bay leaf and ham bones
- salt and pepper to tasted

- 3 tbsp. very good cocoa powder
- pinch salt
- 2 c. milk
- 1-oz. very good semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
