Creamy Vanilla Frosting (delish like canned)

Combine milk, flour and salt in medium saucepan with the heat turned off
- 1 1/3 cups milk (low fat is fine)
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 1/3 cups butter, softened
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Red Wine Braised Short Ribs

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- 4 English cut beef short ribs, trimmed (roughly 8 ounces each)
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 bottle full bodied red wine, such as Cabernet
- 4 cups low-sodium vegetable stock
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
