The Best Sugar Cookie

really good sugar cookie, like this one better then other recipe but you cant shape these
- 3 cups all-purpose flour, measured then sifted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 3 sticks unsalted butter, softened (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar + extra for rolling
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Sicilian Stuffed Mushrooms

Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove stems and coarsely chop them, reserving the caps
- 18 large (about 2 lbs.) white mushrooms
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup Marsala wine
- 1 ½ cups, fresh bread crumbs (Panko work well too!)
- 1 cup grated Pecorino Romano
- 2 Tbsp. fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- marsala or white whine
Orecchiette with Roasted Butternut Squash

Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat to 450 degrees F
- 12 oz. orecchietti or other short pasta
- 1 small butternut squash
- 1 medium onion
- 3 tbsp. finely chopped sage leaves
- 1 clove garlic
- kosher salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 3 cups white sugar
- 1 TBSP vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
- Fresh raspberries or cherries & powdered sugar, garnish

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Directions Place pork tenderloin in a slow cooker with the contents of the soup packet
- (2 pound) pork tenderloin
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
Arugula, Fennel, Avocado and Orange Salad

Whisk together the honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper; slowly add the olive oil while continuing to whisk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 2 c. dried sweetened cranberries
- 1 c. brandy
- 2 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 lb. Kielbasa sausage
- 4 c. chopped onions (about 2 large onions)
- 2 c. chopped celery stalks
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp. sage
- 1 1/2 c. Chopped flat leaf parsley
- 3 c. packaged corn bread stuffing
- 1 can sweet potatoes
- 1 c. chicken broth

French Toast

In a small bowl, combine, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and set aside briefly
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slices challah, brioche, or white bread
- 1/2 cup maple syrup, warmed
Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli

1. Combine all of the ingredients listed except pasta sheets in a bowl
- 1 heaping cup fresh ricotta
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1 cup squeezed dry, finely chopped steamed spinach (from one pound fresh)
- 1/4 cup minced shallot, sauteed in 1 Tablespoon butter until softened, cooled
- 2 large egg yolks
- Several gratings whole nutmeg
- Salt to taste
- 1 1/2 pound fresh pasta sheets
- Small bowl of water, if needed
