- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon suger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup of good vinegar (not red)
- 3/4 cup of real sour cream

- 1/3 cup Nance's chili sauce from (9.5 oz bottle)

- Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 5-ounce package Ocean Spray® Craisins® Cherry Infused
- 2/3 cup white chocolate chunks or chips

- 1 cup pickle brine (can be store-bought pickles and use that brine)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 orange, quartered
- 1/2 head garlic, split
- 1/2 bunch fresh thyme
- 2 whole chickens, cut into 10 even pieces
- Chicken Dredge:
- 1 quart all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons chicken spice, recipe follows
- Canola oil, for frying
- Hot Sauce, for serving, recipe follows
- Buttermilk Biscuits, for serving, recipe follows
- Bread and Butter Pickles, for serving, recipe follows
Roasted Shrimp Cocktail with Green Goddess Dressing (Serves 10 - 12 )

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- For the shrimp
- 2 pounds large shrimp (14 to16 shrimp per pound )
- 1 tablespoon good olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- For the Green Goddess Dressing
- 1 cup good mayonnaise
- 1 cup chopped scallions, white and green parts (6 to 7 scallions)
- 1 cup chopped basil leaves (18 to 20 leaves)
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 garlic gloves
- 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups of celery cut into sticks
Buttermilk Fried Chicken

Combine first 4 ingredients in a plastic bag; shake to mix and set aside
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 lb. chicken breasts & legs
- Vegetable oil
Freezer Pickles

Mix cucumbers, onions and salt in large bowl; let stand for 2 hours
- 2 qts. thinly sliced cucumbers
- 1 lg. onion, sliced
- 1 1/2 tbsp. salt
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. dill seed
Stuffed Hungarian Banana Peppers

- 1 - 8 oz package of cream cheese
- 5 oz shredded mozzarella
- 2 oz romano cheese
- 1 tbsp anchovy paste
- 1/4 c chopped shallots

- 12 yellow Hungarian peppers
