Apple-Balsamic Pork Chops & Rice Recipe

Sprinkle pork chops with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 boneless pork loin chops (6 ounces each)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, divided
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 medium Gala apples, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1-1/2 cups instant brown rice
- 1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Mom's Banana Bread

Classic banana bread that is an old-fashioned favorite and makes a great use of overripe bananas
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter, softened
- 2 Eggs
- 2 ripe (1 cup) bananas, mashed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
