Slow-Cooked Chicken a La King Recipe

In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine soup, flour, pepper and cayenne until smooth
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) reduced-fat reduced-sodium condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Dash cayenne pepper
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas, thawed
- 2 tablespoons diced pimientos, drained
- Hot cooked rice
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 fresh pineapple
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
- 6 to 8 maraschino cherries
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- oil, for deep fat frying
- 2 lbs pork tenderloin (amount depends on the number of people you are feeding. This also freezes well.)

- 1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt

- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks (drain but keep the syrup)

- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 4 carrots, sliced thin
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
Easy Potsticker Soup

In a 4-qt. slow cooker, combine the first nine ingredients
- 1/2 pound Chinese or napa cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 celery ribs, thinly sliced
- 2 medium carrots, cut into matchsticks
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 to 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 6 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen chicken potsticker

In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil in batches
- 4 bone-in chicken breast halves (12 to 14 ounces each), skin removed
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces fettuccine
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened and cubed
- Shredded Parmesan cheese, optional

- One 16-ounce package puff pastry, thawed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (about 5 large)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups chopped plain rotisserie chicken meat, skin and bones discarded
- 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
- Kosher salt
- 1 beaten large egg, for brushing (optional)
