- For the Pie:
- Basic Vanilla Bean Pastry Cream Recipe
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar (+ 1 tbsp)
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1/2 Vanilla Bean
- 7 Egg Yolks
- 1/4 cup cubed, room temperature Unsalted Butter (Cube while butter is cold and then let sit till room temp, its easier to cube when cold.)

Preheat shortening to 375°F
- shortening (for frying)
- 5 baking potatoes (Russet), cut into wedges
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon msg/Accent seasoning (I do not use MSG) But it is part of the original recipe and adds flavor)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 dash garlic powder

- 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen broccoli florets
- 2 cups warm milk
- 6 lightly browned chicken breasts cut in half long ways (they do not need to be completely cooked, they will finish in the oven.
- 1 (10 3/4-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 2 cups grated sharp Cheddar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup of grated sharp cheddar for topping.
- (1) Can use frozen broccoli florets or fresh broccoli.
- (2) Can use one or two rotisserie chickens.
Baked Teriyaki Chicken

You could use any chicken or pork with this just be sure to adjust the cooking time
- 12 skinless chicken thighs (I used skinless, boneless)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
BLT DIP

LOW CARB, GLUTEN FREE
- 1 lb of bacon, cooked until crisp and chopped (or 5 oz of bacon crumbles)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular, but the smoked compliments the bacon nicely)
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1 cup chopped tomato (squeeze out the juice after chopping)(You could use Rotel)

- 1/2 cup margarine, cut into 8 pieces
- 1/2 cup shortening, cut into 8 pieces
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 beaten egg
- 2-4 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water, lightly beaten

- 1/4 head cabbage thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (aka Kecap Manis)* see note for homemade substitute
