FRENCH APPLE CAKE

Recipe from Browneyedbaker
- 1 1/2 pounds Granny Smith apples (about 4 large apples), peeled, cored, cut into 8 wedges, and sliced 1/8 inch thick crosswise
- 1 tablespoon Calvados, apple brandy or white rum (You could use a little brown sugar and cinnamon instead for this item - but the alcohol will cook out.)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Blue Cheese Sauce

This would be great with chicken breast over pasta
- 150 ml (5 fl oz) double [heavy] cream
- 30 g (1 oz) blue cheese
Tomato Soup Dressing

Combine all in blender. (Or use a whisk and a bowl) Will keep in the fridge for 10 days
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- a dash or two of Tabasco sauce
Samoa Dip

In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, cool whip, powdered sugar and caramel sauce and beat until smooth
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz. thawed cool whip
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/8 cup caramel sauce, I used caramel ice cream topping in the jar
- 1/2 cup toasted coconut
- chocolate sauce for drizzle
- caramel sauce for drizzle
Easy Baked Meatballs

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 eggs, beaten with 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 cup panko or bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup minced fresh basil
Chocolate Cream Cheese Cupcakes

This is a delicious cupcake
- For the filling:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Almond extract, or vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini, repeat mini, semi-sweet chocolate chips
- For the cupcake:
- NOTE: You could simply use your favorite chocolate cake mix (Follow the box instructions for preparation) or make the cake mix from scratch as follows:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups water
- 2/3 cups vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
German Jaegerschnitzel Hunter Style

- Wash the meat and pat dry with kitchen paper
- 500 g fresh mushrooms, white or brown
- 30 g bacon (Speck), cut in cubes (optional)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 125 ml vegetable broth (instant) - How to make Vegetable broth from scratch -
- 125 ml heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp thyme, dried
- 4-5 tbsp chopped parsley
- milk or heavy cream as needed (or half and half)
- salt, pepper to taste
- 4 pork schnitzel
- flour, 1 egg yolk, bread crumbs (natural, no spices)
- clarified butter to fry the schnitzel

Cherry Salad

According to the recipe writer: Cherry Salad - two words you might think don't belong together, make my heart sing...
- 1 can - Cherry pie filling (usually only comes as 24oz)
- 2/3 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk (usually only comes as 14 oz) (I use it all!)
- 1 can of Crushed Pineapple (usually only comes as 8 oz)
- 2/3 bag Mini Marshmallows
- 1 cup Chopped Pecans (optional)
- 16-24 oz Cool Whip (personal preference richer flavor or stretch for more people)
- You will need a large mixing Bowl and a spoon and a spatula (both for licking clean when finished)!
Cucumber Salad (Gurkensalat)
