1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)

- 4 cups soft bread cubes
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, beaten
- VANILLA SAUCE
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 1⁄2 lb thickly sliced bacon, diced
- 6 lb boneless lamb shoulder, cut into 2 inch pieces
