- 1 10 oz pkgs frozen steam in the bag brown and wild rice wiht broccoli and carrots
- 3 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 1 14 oz can chicken broth
- 1 10 3/4 oz can cream of chicken soup with herbs
- 1 8 oz container of sour cream
- 1 8 0z can of diced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
Rhubarb Chutney

1. Place vinegar and sugar in a nonreactive saucepan or Dutch oven
- 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 8 cups rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup peeled and finely chopped fresh ginger
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 black peppercorns
Pork Chops Marsala

Turkey in a Bag

Preheat oven to 350. Remove neck and giblets
- OTHER MATERIALS:
- 1 12-14 lb. turkey
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and halved
- 2 Tbsp. softened unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil
- 4 sprigs rosemary
- 4 bay leaves
- 4 Granny Smith apples, cored and roughly chopped
- 2 onions, coarsely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- A large roasting pan, a meat thermometer, and a turkey-size oven bag (available in the paper-goods section of the supermarket).
Basic Marinara Sauce

Saute onions in hot oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until tender
- 3 cups chopped yellow onions (about 3 medium)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 5 tsp. freshly ground Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 2 cups low-sodium fat-free vegetable broth
- 3 (28-oz.) cans no-salt-added crushed tomatoes
Braised Pork Chop wiht Peaches

Slow cooker
- 6 6 1.5 bone-in pork loin chops, each about 1.5 inches thick
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 2 2 Tblsp olive oil
- 2 2 2 slices canadian bacon, finely chopped
- 1 1 1 large yellow onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 6 6 6 cloves garlic, sliced lengthwise
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup pale ale or lager
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 2 2 2 Tblsp cider vinegar or white wine vinegar

Pecan Caramel Turtles

1. Toss 2 1/2 cups of pecans into a large skillet
- 2 1/2 C pecans
- 1/2 C butter (I use salted)
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1/2 C light corn syrup
- 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk (1/2 of a 14 ounce can)
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 t shortening (I use butter flavored Crisco)
Cherry Mustard Vinaigrette (like Glenwood)

Use an immersion blender to combine unti thick - or put into blender
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 cup canola oil
- 1 tsp. dried mustard
- 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. ground or grainy mustard
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup cherry preserves (or jam)
