This is an old world recipe derived from my grandmother, who didn't use traditional measuring cups
- FILLING:
- Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm 2% milk (110° to 115°)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons canola oil
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 4-1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 to 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 3/4 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
- 3/4 cup cashew halves, toasted

- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
