- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons and softened
