Family Favorite Pot Roast Stew

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown roast on all sides in oil and drain
- Stew meat, thick 3 - 4 lbs
- 1 to 2 Tbsp oil
- 4 to 5 potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 5 oz jar prepared horeradish
- 1 oz package onion soup mix
- 2 to 3 cups warm water
- 2 Tbsp flour or cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 Tbsp steak sauce
