Kindred's Milk Bread

This recipe is served as a starter to each dinner table at Kindred Restaurant in Davidson, North Carolina
- 5 1/3 cups bread flour, divided, plus more for surface (Kindred uses King Arthur)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup mild honey (such as wildflower or alfalfa)
- 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder (such as Alba)
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast (from about 3 envelopes)
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 3 large eggs, divided
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces, at room temperature
- Nonstick vegetable oil spray
- Flaky sea salt (optional, but shouldn't be)
Peach Crisp with Brown Butter Crumble

Make the crisp: Preheat the oven to 350°
- PEACH CRISP:
- Unsalted butter, for greasing
- 2 pounds ripe peaches, pitted and cut into 1/4-inch-thick wedges
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Pinch of kosher salt
- BROWN BUTTER CRUMBLE:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/4 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 stick unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Roasted Brussels Sprout and Gruyère Quiche

Make the Pastry In a food processor, pulse both flours with the salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 sticks chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 6 tablespoon ice water
- 3/4 pound brussels sprouts, quartered
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 4 large egg yolks
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced scallions
- 4 ounces shredded Gruyère cheese (1 1/3 cups)

There is a lot to love about this recipe
- 1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 3/4 sticks (7 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granola (or other cereal)
- 1/2 cup crushed salted pretzel pieces (or other salty snack food)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped chocolate candies, or a small bar of good dark chocolate, chopped into chunks
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or other nuts, optional
- (If you don't use nuts, you may want to add more cereal, snacks or chocolate to compensate.)
- You may want to add a little cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, or whatever you fancy. We didn't because we wanted the taste of the granola to come through.
S’Mores Bars with M&Ms and Graham Cereal

Preheat the oven to 350 F
- 2 cups AP flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 3/4 t fine sea salt
- 1 cup smooshed graham cereal
- 1 cup rolled oats (old fashioned)
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cup + 2 T unsalted butter (2 sticks plus 2 T or 18 T), cut into tablespoon-sized pieces
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups mini marshmallows, divided
- 1/2 cup lightly scooped and intact graham cereal squares
- 3/4 cup M&Ms

- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon tapioca starch (cornstarch)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup plus 2 1/2 tablespoons superfine sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips
Salted Caramel Frosting

Beat the butter and cream cheese together at medium speed until smooth and creamy
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce (recipe below)
Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp (or Chicken)

•Combine all ingredients for the spicy sauce in a small bowl; cover and set aside
- 1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (or 1 Lb. chicken cut into pieces)
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 4-5 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil
- 8 to 12 cups vegetable oil
Thai-Style Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce Recipe
