Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening, such as Crisco
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- One 5-ounce bar milk chocolate, chopped
Italian Meatball Hoagie Braids

1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray
- 2 cans (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 16 (1 1/2-inch) frozen fully cooked Italian meatballs, (about 1 pound), thawed and cut in half
- 1 cup tomato-basil pasta sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Eggs Benedict:
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 8 eggs
- 4 English muffins, split
- 1/3 cup flavored semisoft cheese, such as pepper, garlic and herb, garden vegetable, or toasted onion
- 8 thin slices cooked ham (12 ounces)
- 16 large fresh basil, spinach, or arugula leaves
- 8 thin slices tomato
- Mock Hollandaise Sauce:
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard

Directions Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- Half a 1.25-ounce packet taco seasoning mix, or 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- One 14.5-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- Sliced black olives and/or pickled jalapenos, optional
