  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and diced

  • 2 tsp thyme

  • 2-3 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • 4 C tomato puree or a 32 oz can
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 C dried kidney beans, cooked(or approximately 1 can of kidney beans drained and rinsed)
  • 2-3 C cooked brown rice
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp liquid smoke(optional)
