It’s critical for crunchy dill pickles that they be soaked in ice cold water for about 2 hours
- cucumbers
- 4 cups white vinegar
- 12 cups water
- 2/3 cup pickling salt
- garlic cloves (4 1/2 cloves per jar)

ONE-DISH MEAL FOR FOUR

Cook macaroni in lightly salted water; drain and blanch
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 c. undiluted evaporated milk (sm. can)
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or 1 sm. clove garlic
- 1 lb. ground venison or moose
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. uncooked macaroni
