These aren't traditional-looking golden brown choc

  • 1 package (3 oz) softened cream cheese
  • ¾ cup stick margarine or butter-softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup chocolate fudge ice cream topping
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ***the following three ingredients can be substituted with 1 cup (ea) of ANY chocolate chip, we use a different combo each time, and I don't think we've ever used the exact combo called for below***
  • 1 cup vanilla milk chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips (or chopped bittersweet chocolate)
