Vodka Cream Pasta

Heat a large skillet over moderate heat
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, once around the pan in a slow stream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, minced
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (32 ounces)
- Coarse salt and pepper
- 16 ounces pasta, such as penne rigate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 20 leaves fresh basil, shredded or torn
Peppered Meatballs Recipe

In a large bowl, combine the sour cream and cheese
- SAUCE:
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 2 to 3 teaspoons pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 2 teaspoons dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Chicken in Chive Cream Sauce

Combine garlic salt and flour in a small bowl
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 c dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1/2 c chicken broth
- 1 c heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives

- 2 cups graham-cracker crumbs (about 28 squares)
- 1-1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts (I use the shelled walnuts because they will get chopped in the food processor. I put them in the microwave and toast for 30 seconds at a time until they are fragrant)
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
