Chew: White House Grilled Garden Pizza

Toss the vegetables in olive oil and salt and pepper
- 1 12-inch pizza dough (can use freezer dough)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Eggplant (cut into coins about 1/2 inch thick)
- 1 Sweet potato
- 1 Red pepper (sliced about a 1/4 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 ounce tomato sauce
- 6 ounce shredded mozzarella (lowfat)
- Chopped fresh basil (for garnish)
Fat Flush Special Occasion Instant Spice Rub

In a bowl, mix all ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive or grape seed oil
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 1/4 teaspoons cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Emeril's Apple Fritters

Preheat a deep fryer. In a saucepan, melt the butter
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Juice of one lemon
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups chopped apples
- Splash apple brandy
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Drizzle cane syrup (recommended: Steen's)
- Confectioners' sugar
Grilled Steak with Tomatoes and Scallions

1. Heat grill to high. Clean and lightly oil hot grates
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for grates
- 4 flat-iron steaks (about 6 ounces each)
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
- 2 pints cherry tomatoes
- 2 bunches scallions, cut into 2-inch lengths
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Salad: Chef's Salad

1.In the morning: Heat a large skillet over medium
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 1/2 pounds romaine lettuce hearts (2 to 3 hearts)
- 8 ounces cooked turkey breast, not sliced
- 4 ounces cooked ham, not sliced
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, not sliced
- 1 lemon
- 1 scallion
- 1/3 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
Healthy Chicken and Pasta

Cook the spinach in the broth until tender
- ■8 oz. Fresh pasta shells, or 6 ounces Dry pasta shells
- ■1 1/4 pounds Fresh spinach
- ■1 pound Chicken breast; boneless, skinless, grilled, cut 1" cubes
- ■4 medium Cloves garlic, chop fine
- ■1 tsp. Olive oil, or Vegetable spray
- ■1 C. Chicken broth
- ■1/2 tsp. Nutmeg or mace
- ■Salt and pepper
- ■1/2 C. Parmesan, grate

1. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil for 3 minutes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup (80 g) chopped yellow onion
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 14-ounce cans chopped tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable broth or water
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste
- 1/4 cup (28 g) sun dried tomatoes packed in oil (optional)
- 1/4 cup (10 g) chopped fresh basil
Paula's Fried Cinnamon Sticks

Starter: One day before you plan on baking the cinnamon buns combine the starter ingredients
- Cinnamon Bun Dough:
- Peanut oil, for frying
- Cinnamon Bun Dough, see recipe
- Skewers
- Powdered sugar, for topping
- Preheat fryer, or heat oil in large pot to 350 degree F.
- Cut long 1-inch strips from cinnamon bun dough. Wrap dough around skewers. Place doughnuts into fryer and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, flipping to fry both sides. Place doughnuts aside onto a paper towel lined plate to remove excess oil.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Starter:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Idaho potato flakes
- 1 teaspoon dry active yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm-hot tap water
- Cinnamon Buns:
- Nonstick oil spray
- 1 cup starter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cups vegetable oil (recommended: Mazola)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups hot tap water
- 1 (1 tablespoon) package active dry yeast
- 6 cups all-purpose flour (recommended: Pillsbury)
- Filling:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, plus more if needed
- 1/2 cup ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup raisins

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the soup mix, chili powder, salt, garlic powder and pepper
- 1 tablespoon onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
