- 1 (18.3-ounce) box fudge brownie mix (recommended: Betty Crocker)

- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup pre-made mudslide drink (recommended: T.G.I. Friday's)
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee crystals
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen broccoli stir-fry vegetable blend
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- Hot cooked rice

Pasta: Curried Chicken and Pasta Salad

1. Cook pasta according to package directions
- 1 cup dried gemelli or rotini pasta
- 1 small pineapple
- 1 small papaya
- 5 cups shredded romaine
- 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup light mayonnaise dressing or salad dressing
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 to 2 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped (see tip, page 21)
- 2 teaspoons cashew halves and pieces, toasted (optional)

- Strawberry Syrup:

- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 12 slices white bread

- For filling:
- 2 (12-ounce) bags frozen peach slices
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup instant tapioca
- 2 tablespoons crystalized ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For crust:
- 1 (11-ounces) box pie crust mix
- 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon peach nectar, chilled, divided
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar, for dusting, optional
Sandra's Apple Martini

In a medium pitcher, combine ice, vodka, sour apple mix, and vermouth
- 2 trays ice
- 1/4 liter vodka
- 1/2 liter sour apple mix
- Splash sweet vermouth
- 1 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced
Ina's Long Island Iced Tea

- 6 ice cubes
- 1/2 jigger gin
- 1/2 jigger vodka
- 1/2 jigger white rum
- 1/2 jigger tequila
- 1/2 jigger Cointreau
- 1 jigger fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar syrup (see note)
- Cola
- Lemon slice, to decorate
