In searching for a Caesar Dressing that doesn't use raw eggs, I came across this

  • 2 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (found near the tuna fish in the supermarket)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, from one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (I like the brand Maille)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise, best quality such as Hellmann's Real
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 cup warm cream or half and half
  • 1 quart (4 cups) chicken stock
  • 1-1/2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1/4 tablespoon salt
  • Dash pepper

  • 5 to 6 cups broccoli florets (about 4 large broccoli crowns, trimmed)
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 8 ounces SHARP Cheddar, cut into very small chunks
  • 1 cup Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar (white wine, champagne, regular kitchen vinegar may be a little harsh)

  • 1 3 1/2 to 4 pound boneless beef chuck roast
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 tablespoons oil, divided in half
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 beef bouillon cubes or 2 1/2 tablespoons concentrated beef base such as Better than Bouillon or 2 cups beef stock instead of water
  • 1 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
  • 2 cups carrots, cut into 2 inch chunks (or whole baby carrots)
  • 2 medium onions, cut into wedges
  • 4-5 medium red or yellow potatoes cut into 2 inch chunks
