This is a good and easy slow cooker meatloaf recipe
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 2 pounds ground round
- Sauce, divided in half
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Grilled Aloha Chicken

I am always looking for new chicken marinades
- 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 6 to 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Caesar Salad Dressing

In searching for a Caesar Dressing that doesn't use raw eggs, I came across this
- 2 small garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (found near the tuna fish in the supermarket)
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, from one lemon
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (I like the brand Maille)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise, best quality such as Hellmann's Real
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
L S Ayres Tea Room Chicken Velvet Soup

This was served in the Tea Room of L S Ayres, a well known department store in downtown Indianapolis
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 pint (2 cups) hot chicken stock
- 1 cup warm cream or half and half
- 1 quart (4 cups) chicken stock
- 1-1/2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
- 1/4 tablespoon salt
- Dash pepper
Broccoli Salad

This is my low calorie version
- 5 to 6 cups broccoli florets (about 4 large broccoli crowns, trimmed)
- 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 8 ounces SHARP Cheddar, cut into very small chunks
- 1 cup Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar (white wine, champagne, regular kitchen vinegar may be a little harsh)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon dried dill weed
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon Beau Monde seasoning
Chuckwagon Roast and Vegetables

This is from the 1989 All American Brand Name Cook Book
- 1 3 1/2 to 4 pound boneless beef chuck roast
- salt and pepper
- 6 tablespoons oil, divided in half
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups water
- 8 beef bouillon cubes or 2 1/2 tablespoons concentrated beef base such as Better than Bouillon or 2 cups beef stock instead of water
- 1 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
- 2 cups carrots, cut into 2 inch chunks (or whole baby carrots)
- 2 medium onions, cut into wedges
- 4-5 medium red or yellow potatoes cut into 2 inch chunks
