- 6 tabl (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 c light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tea kosher salt
- 1/2 tea freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 c half-and-half
Mashed Yellow Turnips w/Crispy Shallots

Cut off the ends of the turnips and then peel them
- 1 1/2 c light olive or vegetable oil
- 3 tabl unsalted butter
- 5-6 shallots, peeled and sliced into thin rings
- 2 large yellow turnips (rutabagas), about 4lbs total

Teriyaki Chicken/Salmon

- Teriyaki Sauce:
- 3 tabl reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 c carrot puree
- 1 tabl firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 c 100% orange juice
- 1 clove garlic, cut in half
- 2 green onions, cut in thirds
- 1/2 in piece fresh ginger, sliced (no need to peel)
- 1 tabl olive oil
- 4 boneless chicken breasts (skinless), 1 1/2 lbs (about)
- 1/4 tea pepper
- 1/4 tea sweet paprika

- 3 chicken breasts, cut into 2 inch strips
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 c olive oil

- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-3 tbsp minced cilantro (3 if fresh)
- 4 tbsp butter cut into pieces
- 1/4 c white cooking wine (putting wine in the oven can be dangerous, please use caution)
- 3/4 water
