CHILL FOR SEVERAL HOURS, THE FLAVOR SETS IN BETTER
- 1 1/2 cup Hellmann's Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard (yes the one in the frig)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar(apple cider vinegar is fine if you cannot find just cider vinegar)
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
BROCCOLI & RICE CASEROLE

- 1 cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup water
- 1 pkg. broccoli
- ½ cup cheese whiz
- 1 stick butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup minute rice
- 1 can cream of celery soup
Italian Amaretto Margaritas

Dip the rims of 4 margarita glasses in amaretto, then into sugar; set aside
- "Amaretto gives this drink a fun twist! Frosty glasses rimmed with amaretto and sugar make this drink even better."
- 4 fluid ounces amaretto liqueur, plus
- additional
- white sugar
- 6 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate 6 fluid ounces tequila
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 6 cups ice
Good Morning Oatmeal

In saucepan combine juice, fruit bits, sugar, and cinnamon
- 1-3/4 * 1-3/4 cups apple juice
- 1 * 1 7-ounce package mixed dried fruit bits
- 1/3 * 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 * 3 inches stick cinnamon or 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 * 2 medium pears, cored and chopped
- 5 * 5 cups water (or 2-1/2 cups water and 2-1/2 cups milk)
- 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 * 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 2 * 2 6-ounces containers vanilla yogurt
- 1 * 1 cup granola
BUTTERMILK PIE

Cream soft butter with sugar, add eggs and flour
- 1 9” unbaked pie shell
- ½ cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 rounded tablespoons flour
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Chili

Wash and pick over the beans especially if you buy in bulk
- 1/2 -3/4 1 lb. pkg. red beans
- Water
- 3/4-1 lb hamburger
- 1- 1 1/2 15 oz. cans tomatoes, drained and squished, save the juice. (you can use any kind except stewed tomatoes - they get too violent with the flavors)
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 large green pepper, seeded and diced
- 1-1 1/2 ribs celery, diced
- 1 small to medium sized carrot, shredded
- 1 very small jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
- 1-2 tsp. of chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. tarragon
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1-1 1/2 C. dry red wine (burgundy is just fine)
- 1/2 C. of chili sauce (the bottled kind)
- Tabasco sauce (see note)
- Juice of the drained tomatoes
- Salt and pepper

- For the dough:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. granulated sugar
- 16 Tbs. (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch dice
- 3 to 4 Tbs. ice water
- For the filling:
- 2 lb. Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into slices 1/4 inch
- thick
- 2 lb. Pink Lady apples, peeled, cored and cut into slices 1/4 inch thick
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 4 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbs. cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 egg white, beaten with 1 tsp. water
- 2 tsp. granulated sugar
