Joy the Baker’s Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Brown 1 stick plus 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 cup (2 sticks) plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon molasses
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup (6 ounces) of bittersweet chocolate chips
Pan-Seared Shrimp with Chipotle-Lime Glaze

For Glaze: Stir together chipotle chile, adobo sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, and cilantro in small bowl
- Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 pounds 21/25 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon sugar
- 1 chipotle chile in adobo, minced
- 2 teaspoons adobo sauce
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Spicy Emerald Rice

1 Bring small saucepan of salted water to a boil
- 1 cup cilantro leaves
- 4 green onions, roughly chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 pickled jalapeno chiles, stemmed, seeded, and chopped (2 to 3 Tbs.)

- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice, warm
