- 1/4 cup butter, cut into chunks, plus more for pan
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups toasted hulled pumpkin seeds (see Notes)

I always make sure the milk I am using has been chilled for at least 2-3 hours
- 1 1/2 cups sorghum flour
- 1/2 cup sweet rice flour
- 1/2 cup tapioca flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt (use 1/2 teaspoon if using salted butter)
- 1/2 cup butter, coconut oil, or palm shortening
- 1 cup milk (I use unsweetened hemp milk)
Black Bean Taco Soup (P1/P3)

In large pot, brown beef & onions together until cooked
- 1 lb lean steak sliced into small chunks
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 2-3 Roma tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium poblano chili diced
- 1 c organic beef broth
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes w/green chilies
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can black beans - rinsed
- taco seasoning to taste

Directions 1. Put the bread crumbs in a food processor and process to fine crumbs
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs from Panera Bread Country loaf or miche, crust removed
- 1 cup canned carrot juice or low-sodium vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 small cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- Pinch of sugar
- 2 pounds yellow tomatoes (4 to 6), cored and chopped
- 1 small yellow bell pepper, cored, seeded, and chopped
- 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, and chopped
- 1 tablespoon drained small capers
