- CABBAGE ROLLS
- 1 Large head of green cabbage
- 2 pounds of ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup raw long-grain white rice
- TOMATO SAUCE
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 15 ounce cans tomato sauce or 1 32 ounce can whole tomatoes, pulsed in a food processor.
- juice of one lemon or 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 to 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- Salt & pepper to taste
