Glenda's Baked Beef Stew

In a large roasting pan, spread stew beef on bottom
- 1 1/2 cups stewing beef
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 7 1/2 oz. tin tomato sauce
- 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups chopped turnip
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Fried Salmon Sandwich

To be eaten with a knife and fork!
- 1 can salmon
- 1 hard cooked egg, chopped
- 2 finely chopped green onions
- seafood sauce
- mayonnaise
- 4 slices white bread
- 1 egg beaten
- milk
- butter or margarine
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Cream together butter and brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup raisins
Spanakopita

Saute the onion in olive oil until transparent
- 1 pkg. phyllo pastry
- 1 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed
- 2/3 cup feta cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Chocolate Covered Cherries

Drain cherries, place on paper towels and pat well
- 1 jar maraschino cherries with stems, drained well
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar (may need more)
- 1 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. shortening
Cherry Cheesecake Dessert

Cream together crust ingredients
- Crust:
- 3/4 cup golden flavored Crisco
- 1/3 cup icing sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- Filling:
- 1 block (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can eagle brand milk
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 19 oz. can of cherry pie filling
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup golden flavored Crisco
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- tsp. seasoning:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pkg. Stovetop Stuffing
- 1 cup water
- - oregano and garlic powder
- - chili powder for mexican
- Various toppings:
- - barbecue sauce and cheese slices
- - roasted red peppers and feta cheese
- - salsa and grated cheddar
- - pasta sauce and grated mozza
Christmas Morning Wife Saver

Set 8 pieces of bread into a 9" x 13" buttered, glass baking dish
- 16 slices of white bread, crusts
- removed
- slices of Canadian back bacon or
- ham
- 16 process cheese slices
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2-1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1-2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups milk
- dash Tabasco
- 1/2 cup butter
- Special K, Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies
Fumi Salad

Mix dressing ingredients and refrigerate
- Dressing:
- 1 head of cabbage - chopped
- 4 tbsp. slivered almonds, toasted
- 4 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 pkg. Mr. Noodles, crumbled
- 2 tbsp. white sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- spice packet from Mr. Noodles
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Zucchini Bread

Beat eggs, add sugar, then oil and dry ingredients
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup salad oil
- 2 cups grated zucchini
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
