Combine eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin
- Frosting:
- 4 eggs
- 1 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 16 oz can solid pumpkin
- 2 cups flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 2 t cinnamon
- 1 t salt
- 1 t baking soda
- 3 oz softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
Quick Crab Soup

Saute onion in butter until tender
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 t butter, melted
- 1 T flour
- 2 cups water
- 1 6 oz can crabmeat
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 2 T parsley
- salt
- pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 1/8 t hot sauce
Chicken Paprikash

- 8 bone in chicken thighs (about 3 pounds), trimmed of excess skin and fat
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 large onion , halved and sliced thin
- 1 large red bell pepper , stemmed, seeded, halved widthwise, and cut into 1/4-inch strips
- 1 large green bell pepper , stemmed, seeded, halved widthwise, and cut into 1/4-inch strips
- 3 1/2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 tablespoon unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes , drained
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Ultimate Banana Bread

1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 3/4 cups (8 3/4 ounces) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 6 large very ripe bananas (about 2 1/4 pounds), peeled
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter , melted and cooled slightly

- 1 1/2 pounds Italian Fontina Val d'Aosta cheese, rind removed and 1-inch-diced
- 1/4 cup good olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
