Comeback Sauce

The sauce that’s served by the steak house chain made famous by the onions that bloom, is reminiscent of Comeback...
- 1 cup Duke’s mayonnaise (one of my Favorites)
- 1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
- 1/4 cup chili sauce ( I prefer Heinz or DelMonte. DO NOT substitute Thai Chili Sauce)
- 1 heaping teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 cup light olive oil
- juice of one lemon
Cheese Sauce for Eggs Benedict

Combine milk & flour. Cook over medium heat, stirring
- 1 c. skim milk
- 2 T. + 2 t. flour
- 4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
- salt & pepper
Mardi Gras King Cake with Pecan Praline Filling

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water, adding a pinch of sugar
- 1 envelope active yeast
- Pinch of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of warm water (about 110 degrees)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of cold butter, cut into 1/4 inch slices
- Egg wash (1 beaten egg with couple tablespoons of water)
- Yellow, green and purple colored sugars, recipe below

- 5 granny smith apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 lemon (juiced)

- 3/4 cup milk

- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 pound(s) sea scallops, rinsed
- 3 teaspoon(s) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon(s) finely chopped shallot

Lemon Bars

Blend sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and set aside
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 2/3 c. margarine or butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt - optional
- 1/2 c. oatmeal, quick
Artichoke-Cheese Squares

Heat a medium-sized skillet over moderate flame, then add oil
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/3 cup minced onion
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 egg whites
- 1 14 ounce can artichoke hearts, drained, trimmed, and chopped
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs *
- 1/2 pound Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoon fresh minced parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pepper or dash Tabasco, to taste
