STRAWBERRY COOKIE PIE

Crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cookie Crust:
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine (1 stick)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup flour
- Dash of salt
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- Strawberry Filling:
- 4 cups strawberries sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Crunchy Pecan Crumbs:
- 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
- Dash salt
- 1/4 cup flour
CHOCOLATE CARAMEL NUT BARS

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat, stirring until smooth
- 1 14 oz. package caramels
- 2/3 cup (5-1/3 oz.) evaporated milk
- 1 two layer german chocolate cake mix with pudding
- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1-1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
- 1 6 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
ROAST PORK

In cup mix orange peel, salad oil, black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ginger and 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1 teaspoon salad oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 5 lb. boneless pork roast
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 chicken flavor bouillon cube
DANISH ALMOND PASTRIES

Sprinkle sugar over clean surface
- Almond Filling:
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 recipe Danish Dough
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 ounces blanched almonds
QUEBEC TOURTIERE PIE

Top with additional pie crust
- On medium heat, saute 1 pound each of lean ground pork and chicken for 5 minutes
- Add 2 medium onions minced
- 2 finely diced celery stalks
- 1 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried savory
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- Dust mixture with 4 tablespoons flour Add 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup shredded turnips
- Pour in 2/3 cup beef stock
- Blend well
- Season with salt and pepper
- Transfer ingredients to a 9 inch deep dish pie shell
- Brush edges with beaten egg
GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE CHEESY

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except 1/2 can of onions in 1-1/2 quart casserole
- 3 packages frozen green beans thawed and drained
- 1 jar Cheez whiz
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can fried onions, divided
TOMATO BASIL SIMMER SAUCE

Cut peeled tomatoes into chunks
- 12 lbs. ripe tomatoes peeled
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 cup lightly packed assorted fresh herbs (such as oregano, thyme) chopped
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice
ITALIAN BEEF

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees
- 1-5 lb. rump roast
- 1 medium diced
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 to 6 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 green pepper, seeled and chopped
- 1 tablespoons fresh basil (optional)
SESAME CHICKEN

Sift flour, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, baking soda and baking powder in a bowl
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 dash sesame oil
- 1 lb. skinless boneless chicken cubed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chile paste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
CHEESE RYE TWISTS

Cheese Bread: Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl, let stand 5 minutes
- Whole Wheat Rye Bread:
- 1 package yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (105 to 155 degrees)
- 1/2 cup milk scalded
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 3-1/2 cups all purpose flour divided
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Whole wheat rye bread
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
- Sesame seeds
- 1 package yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water (105 to 155 degrees)
- 2-1/2 tablespoons molasses
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons lukewarm water
- 3/4 cup rye flour
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1-1/2 to 2 cups all purpose flour
