- 3/4 cup sugar
- Scant 1/2 cup ground almonds (you can substitute hazelnuts or pistachios)
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 7 tbsp crème fraiche (or substitute 7 tbsp. heavy creme mixed with 2 tsps lemon juice)
- 7 tbsp milk
- 12 oz cherries (pitted), or any soft fruit or berries (or chocolate chunks)

- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 3 tbls white sugar
- 1 can 13 oz evaporated canned milk
- 1 tsp salt

- Rising time about 1 to 1 1/2 hours

- 3 tsp baking powder

- 1 carton (6 oz) plain low-fat yogurt
- 1/3 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- Maple syrup for serving

- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup mayonaise
- 2 small cans tiny shrimp, drained and rinsed (fresh shrimp is preferred)
- 1 heaping tsp horseradish
