Green Beans with Garlic

Trim beans and cut in half
- 1 pound green or yellow beans
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon diced sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- salt, to taste
Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes

In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar and water
- Blueberry Syrup:
- 2 C fesh or frozen blueberries
- 1 C sugar
- 1/2 c water
- 1 T lemon juice
- Pancakes:
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 T warm water 110-115
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 C buttermilk
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 C heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/4 C fresh or frozen blueberries (do NOT thaw)
Veggie Lo Mein

Cook and drain the pasta. Heat a large non-stick skillet over high heat
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound thin spaghetti
- 2 T vegetable or wok oil
- 2 Cups fresh snow peas
- 1 small red bell pepper, cut into thin matchsticks
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced on an angle
- 1 Cup fresh bean sprouts
- 1 inch peeled gingerroot, grated or minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup aged tamari (dark soy sauce)
- 2 T toasted sesame oil
Patio Sticky Ribs

Boil ribs in water, covered, in large Dutch oven for 45 - 60 minutes until almost tender
- 3 1/4 lbs pork side ribs
- Water to cover
- 1/3 C ketchup
- 2 T liquid honey
- 1 T frozen concentrated orange juice, thawed
- 1 T water
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1 T white wine vinegar
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
Green Beans with Oregano

Saute the garlic oil until lightly browned
- 1 clove garlic, sliced very thin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 10 ounces package frozen green beans, Italian cut
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Buttermilk-Cheddar Biscuits

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl
- 2 C flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 tsp sugar
- 4 T grated cheddar cheese
- 7 T butter, chilled
- 1/3 C buttermilk
- 1 egg yolk
Festive Scallloped Potatoes

Place potato slices in 1 container and onion slices in another
- Sauce:
- 8 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced in rings
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/2 C flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 4 1/2 C milk

Melt butter in small saucepan over medium-low heat
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup walnut, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh sage
- 1 pound green beans
Apple Nut Muffins

Pre heat oven to 400; grease of liine muffin tin
- 2/3 C apple juice or milk
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 C flour
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 C chopped nuts
- 1 C chopped peeled apple
Harvest Time Green Beans

In pot combine beans, carrots, chives, water, sugar, thyme and salt
- 1/2 pound beans, cut into 2" pieces
- 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
- 1 tablespoon chives
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/3 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup cubed unpeeled red apple
