Lipton Fried Rice with Chicken

Heat 1 T oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped green cabbage
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
- 1 envelope Lipton onion soup
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups cooked unsalted rice
Chicken Noodle Soup

In large covered saucepan, bring the broth, water, thyme and pepper to a boil over high heat
- 3 C chicken broth
- 2 C water
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 large chicken thighs (with or without skin and bone)
- 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 C egg noodles
- 2 C packed fresh spinach leaves, torn into bite-size pieces
- 1 C frozen or canned, drained, whole-kernel corn
Lemon Sour Cream Cake

Grease a dppe 27cm round cake pan, line base with paper
- 250 g butter
- 2 tsp grated lemon rind
- 2 C sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 C flour
- 1/4 C self-raising flour
- 200 g sour cream
Apple Buttermilk Muffins

Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs, blend in milk, apple and butter
- 1 C flour
- 1 C whole wheat flour
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 C chopped walnuts
- 2 eggs
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1 C grated peeled apple
- 1/2 C melted butter
Oats N Wheat Blueberry Muffins

Combine oats and buttermilk
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup blueberries, no liquid
Green Bean Salad with Walnut Dressing

Blanch the beans in boiling water until just tender, about 3 to 4 minutes
- 3 lbs green beans
- 10 walnut halves, toasted and chopped
- 4 T walnut oil
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
- 1/4 C red wine vinegar
- 1 garlic clove
- coarse kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Tangy Yogurt Pops

Beat first 3 ingredients together in medium bowl until well conbined
- 2 cups Vanilla yogurt
- 3/4 cup frozen concentrated orange juice (or your favourite)
- 1/2 cup white grape juice
- 8 disposable paper drink cups (about 4 oz each)
- 8 popsicle sticks

Measure ketchup, jelly and onion flakes into a sauce pan; stir
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup blackberry jelly
- 1 teaspoon dry onion flakes
- 1 pound weiner, cut bite sized
Pork Loin with Coffee Sauce

Preheat oven to 350. Tie the meat and season with salt and pepper
- 4 pounds pork loin, boneless
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup very strong coffee
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/3 cup port wine
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Rich Tea Biscuits or Buttermilk Biscuits

Can cut fat in 1/2 if desired
- 2 C flour
- 2 T sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 C butter, cold
- 3/4 C milk, cold
