- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons minced green onion, or chives
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil, or dill

Lemon Herb Rice Pilaf

In saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; add onion; and garlic
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- pinch pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 teaspoon mint
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups chicken stock, or vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 green onion, sliced
Apricot BBQ Sauce

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup apricot nectar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- dash hot pepper sauce
Basic Sweet Yeast Dough

Combine the yeast and the warm water in a small bowl, mix and set aside
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1/2 C warm water
- 1 1/2 C warm milk
- 1/4 C melted butter
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt

- 3 C whole wheat flour
- 2 - 3 C unbleached all-purpose flour

- 1 tsp cold water
- 4 C large pecan halves
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg

- 1 C rolled oats
- 1/2 C sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 C cooking oil
- 1/4 C milk
- 1 C mashed bananas
