- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped cashews for toffee and 1/4 c. for topping (3/4 c. total)

- 2/3 cup oil
- 1 cup soured milk or buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 1/2 cup chopped rhubarb
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 cup finely chopped dates
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Chile Con Queso

Brown the sausage and onion in a large nonstick skillet, breaking the sausage up as you go
- One 1-pound package refrigerated hot breakfast sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- One 2-pound block processed cheese, such as Velveeta
- One 10-ounce can diced tomatoes and green chiles
- 2 cans chopped green chiles
- 1 jalapeno, diced
- Chips, for serving

COMBINE CORN MEAL, FLOUR, SUGAR,BAKING POWDER AND SALE IN MEDIUM BOWL
- 1 CUP CORN MEAL
- 1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
- 1/4 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
- 1 TBS.BAKING POWDER
- 1 TSP. SALT
- 1/3 VEGETABLE OIL
- 1 EGG LIGHTLY BEATEN
- 1 CUP MILK
- FOR SWEETER VARIATION USE
- 1/2 CUP CORN MEAL, 1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR, 2/3 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR, 1 TBS. BAKING POWDER AND 1/2 TSP SALT. 1/2 CUP OIL, 3 TBS. MELTED BUTTER, 2 EGGS, AND 1 1/4 CUPS MILK. 350 DEGREES FOR 35 MINUTED

- 3/4 cup water
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded cheese cheese
- 1 large green pepper chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 2 cans (2-1/4 oz. each) sliced ripe olives, drained
- 1 bottle (16 oz.) Catalina or 16 oz. Western Salad Dressing
