Light Buttermilk Pancakes

Sift dry ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry mixture until flour is moistened
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 Tablespoon oil

Almond Citrus Olive Oil Cake

To make the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Citrus Compote:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted, coarsely crumbled

- 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
- 3/4 teaspoon orange blossom water, optional
- 3 oranges, segmented
- 2 pink grapefruits, segmented

- 1 (16 ounce) package VELVEETA® Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut up
- 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
- or 1 (16 ounce) jar of salsa

- 3-4 boneless chicken breast
- 1 jar Maries blue cheese
- 1 block cream cheese
- 5 oz. Franks hot sauce

Preheat oven to 350F. Cook bacon in heavy large ovenproof pot over medium heat until crisp
- 5 bacon slices
- 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup robust (dark) molasses
- 1/3 cup (or more) water
- 1 bay leaf, broken in half
- 1 15- to 16-ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed, drained
- 1 15- to 16-ounce can black beans, rinsed, drained
- 1 15-ounce can cannellini (white kidney beans), rinsed, drained
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)

Water Chestnut Appetizers

- 1 can water chestnuts (cut in half or quarters if large)
- 1/2 c. cocktail sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 T. Worchestershire sauce

- 1/2 t. cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. tarragon vinegar
- 2 T. wine vinegar
- 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 or 3 drops liquid smoke
