Topsy Turvy Apple French Toast

Heat 1/2 c. butter, brown sugar, and water until bubbling, stirring often
- Cream Sauce:
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. brown sgar
- 1 Tbs. water
- 3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 loaf French bread, 1" slices
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. cream, 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Spaghetti with Oil and Garlic

- 12 garlic cloves
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 1 1/2 c. chicken stock
- 1 c. parsley
- Pepper to taste

- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. minced garlic

- 3/4 c. grated Swiss cheese
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
- Salt and pepper to taste
