Party Dip Appetizer

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 8 slices of thick cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3 large scallions finely chopped
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup smoked almonds finely chopped
Date Coffee Cake

Beat together mashed banana and butter until creamy
- 1/2 cup mashed, ripe bananas, with a fork
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 lg. eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups dates
- Topping
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup flaked coconut

- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

- 2 garlic cloves

In a medium sized bowl, combine the cocoa with the boiling water, mixing with a wire whisk until smooth
- Frosting:
- 1 cup of unsalted, unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups of boiling water
- 2 3/4 cups of sifted, all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup of butter or margarine, softened
- 2 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1/2 cup of light cream
- 1 cup of butter or margarine
- 2 1/2 cups unsifted confectioners sugar
- Filling:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of unsifted confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Manhattan Deli Salad

Cook pasta. Combine everything else
- 1 12 oz. pkg. spiral pasta
- 1 1/4 cups pitted ripe olives, sliced
- 1 cup chopped red or green pepper
- 1/4 lb. hard salami, thin strips
- 1 sm. red onion, cut into rings
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 Tbs. capers, optional
- 3/4 cup Italian dressing
Wine Punch I
