Apricot Meringue Bars Recipe

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 1 cup cold butter, cubed
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cans (12 ounces each) apricot filling
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

- 3 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed, small spouts left whole, larger spouts halved
- Salt and pepper, to your taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
Cheddar Cheese Dill Cornbread

- 1 1/2 cups cooking oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 well beaten eggs
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups peeled and chopped granny apples
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups chopped pecans
Lemon-Poppy Seed Bread

This tart, yet sweet bread is perfect for breakfast or with a cup of tea in the afternoon
- Bread:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbs poppy seeds
- 2 tbs coarsely grated lemon rind
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3 large eggs
- Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar sifted
- 2 tsp coarsely grated lemond rind
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

- 1 cup plus 2 tbs milk
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/4 cup corn meal
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbs shortening

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup solid shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 7 ounces whole cranberry sauce
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans

- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 3 3/4 cups (16oz box) powdered sugar
- 2 cups (12oz package) semisweet chocolate morsels
- 2 tbs vegetable shortening

- 2 cups (about 32 squares) graham crackers, crumbled
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 large firm bananas, cut into 1/4" slices
- 1 tbs milk
- 2 (8oz) cans crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 quarts fresh strawberries, sliced
- Topping:
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
