Country Potato Chowder Recipe

This creamy comforting chowder is thick with potatoes, carrots, green beans and corn
- 6 bacon strips, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 celery ribs, chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups half-and-half cream
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup fresh or frozen green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 can (14-3/4 ounces) cream-style corn
Pistachio Mallow Salad Recipe

This fluffy salad is a real treat since it's creamy but not overly sweet
- 1 carton (16 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant pistachio pudding mix
- 6 to 7 drops green food coloring, optional
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios or walnuts
Upside-Down Apple Pie Recipe

I combined two of my favorite recipes to come up with this sensational pie
- PECANS:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/3 cup shortening, cubed
- 4 to 6 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup pecan halves
- FILLING:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples

- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- FROSTING:
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups flaked coconut
