"Shav" is a traditional spring time soup made with the fresh leaves of the sorrel plant
- Shav:
- 8-9 cups fresh greens (sorrel and spinach work very well in combination with each other)
- 1/2 -1 bunch chopped scallions, and / or chopped onions
- 2 TBS Extra virgin olive oil
- 2-4 cups of cold water or enough to blend the raw greens into a soup mixture
- 1/4 cup lemon juice (if more intense lemon flavor is wanted)
- 2 TBS Fresh chopped dill
- salt to taste.

- 4 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
