Ingredients
- 1 T butter
- 1 C chopped onion
- 2 T flour
- 2 1/2 C chicken broth
- 1 can (16 oz) cream style corn
- 1 C frozen whole kernel corn
- 1/2 C finely diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 t hot pepper sauce
- 3/4 C (3 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- black pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in large saucepan over med heat. Add onion; cook and stir 5 mins. Sprinkle onion w/ flour; cook and stir 1 min
Add chicken broth; bring to boil, stirring frequently. Add cream style corn, corn kernels, bell pepper and pepper sauce; bring to a simmer. Cover and cook (simmer) 15 mins.
Remove from heat; gradually stir in chesse til melted. Ladle into soup bowls; sprinkle w/ black pepper, if desired.
(can add cooked chicken to this recipe)
